Colleen joined the staff of Ambassadors for Business full-time at the start of 2021. The seven years prior to joining AFB were spent on staff for a large church (1700+ regular attenders) in the Twin Cities, MN Metro. Her service there began as a communication specialist, then communication manager, then administrative coordinator. Her ability to develop strategies to manage events, work hand-in-hand with volunteers, assist staff with their messaging, and compassionately serve the needs of church members allowed her to develop many important skills she’d need at AFB.

An entrepreneurial spirit and a can-do attitude are part of Colleen’s DNA. During her youth she worked for the family business – a bowling alley in a small town. When it came time to raise her family, Colleen was self-employed to devote the majority of her time to raising her four sons. Jobs she did included catering, cake decorating, interior decorating, construction, writing, secretarial services, foster care, daycare, cleaning services, exterior home inspections for insurance negotiations, teaching culinary classes, theatre set construction, and other projects as they came by. Such a wide variety of experiences has helped her on occasion become a trusted advisor to owners of several businesses.

Colleen Burrs has hosted five Episodes.
